We are so sad to hear of Verna's passing. We have several memories of her. She made a mean grilled cheese sandwich (with onions for Terry) at the drive-in theater. Pretty soon she automatically reached for the onions when she saw Terry approaching the concession stand. She was a devoted member of the church she belonged to and was very, very good on the piano. I served in the Primary with her and I could tell she really enjoyed being with the children. Although we have been away from East Carbon for quite a few years, the world is different without Verna in it. Prayers for her family.

Verna babysat for my little brother, Patrick and I. She taught me how to weave rag rugs (wish I knew how to build the frame!), and make amazing scrambled eggs (ask me the secrets). She and her mom really made life for our family (especially my mom), a lot easier. They always were finding little ways to help my single Mother with us 4 kids. Anyway, this "kid" loved her very much and always will. Love you Verna, thanks for the love you gave so generously.
