Sandra died in her home surrounded by her many friends and family in East Carbon after her battle with cancer. She was born to Garren and Louise (Webb) Whitlock. She married Tandy Ross Walk in East Carbon on October 17, 1981. She was born and raised in East Carbon and graduated from East Carbon High School in June 1979. She then moved to West Jordan and Pleasant Grove, Utah before moving back to East Carbon in 2004.

Sandy was an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She was always up for a church party and loved donating her time to humanitarian service and contributing for funeral and party dinners. She enjoyed going to the Senior Citizens Center for lunch and staying for card games and also doing needle point.

She was born with complications during birth which left her with a shaking disorder. Despite her complications, she was always cheerful and enjoyed life. She loved her family and always said she couldn’t have found a better husband if she would of went looking, and everyone agreed Ross was there for her until the end. She loved him dearly.

Sandy enjoyed playing cards, games, going to the movies, parties, shopping, and inviting friends and family for dinner parties and game night to follow. She loved camping. She loved helping seniors by shopping for them, or whatever they needed, or bringing meals if anyone was sick. She would do anything for her grandchildren.

She is survived by her husband Tandy Ross Walk, East Carbon, daughter Alicia Monique Walk Walters (Trina), Columbia, UT, son Kendall Walk, Salt Lake City, UT, grandson Alex Walters and Aiden Walk; sisters Linda Gallup, Delta, CO, Carol (Johnny) Herrera, Salt Lake City, UT, and Cindy Whitlock, East Carbon, UT, and many nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her parents Garren and Louise Whitlock, brothers Randy and Rod Whitlock.
She will be missed by all who knew her.

Services will be held on Monday, September 23, 2019 at 11:00 a.m. at the Hope Center in Price, UT.
Care of Sandy has been entrusted to Fausett Mortuary. Friends and family may sign the online guestbook and share a memory of Sandra at

Sandy lived life like the Savior! She was so kind and thoughtful at all times. She served everyone. One of my favorite memories in East Carbon took place 7 months after we mover there. I had just given birth to my son Jack and she was the only person in town who came to visit me. She brought us dinner and sat and held my new baby and visited with me. I grew to love her and considered her a dear friend. I will miss her and I am so grateful for her example and friendship in my life. Her family will be in my prayers.

I was a classmate of Sandy's. I admired her strong spirit. As I got to know her a little better as an adult when she came back to EC, I got to see her cheerful, funny side also. Prayers for comfort and strength for you, her family, now and in the days to come. Memories are precious.
