Jesse Robert Alexander

PRICE – Jesse Robert Alexander, age 70, passed away October 29, 2012 at his home in Price, Utah. He was born March 17, 1942 to Eugene Robert Alexander and Opal Sophia Bromley in Bloomfield, Indiana. He married Karen Jane Burgess on August 25, 1962 in Carbonville, Utah. Karen passed away December 15, 1991. He later married Donna Dolores McCracken Pearson on June 9, 1993 in Elko, Nevada.

Jess is a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of latter-day saints where he has held many callings throughout his life including: 1st and 2nd Counselor in the bishopric, scout leader, 11 year old primary teacher, home teacher, and he served as a ward and stake missionary. He also served a two-year service mission for Deseret Industries. Jess loved country music and enjoyed playing the guitar and harmonica. He often played for the Park Dale Nursing Home, at LDS single adult functions and for various ward socials. Some of his hobbies included: deer hunting, river rafting, riding horses, camping, traveling and finding antiques at auctions.

He is survived by his wife, Donna; children: Troy James (Lisa Ann) Alexander of Green River, WY, Darla Kay (Kim) Blackham of Kaneohe, HI, Tracy Ann Pearson (Collin) Rigby of Murray, UT, Michael (deceased) (Shelly) Pearson of Paragould, AR, Lisa (deceased) Kyle Reddington of Provo, UT; 20 grandchildren; 2 great-grandchildren; brothers: Bob Alexander, Philip Alexander, John (Judy) Damron, Jerry Lynn (Janet) Damron and Karl Damron; and sister: Patricia Damron.

Preceded in death by his father and mother; step-father, Eugene Damron; first wife, Karen; brother, Dale Damron; nephew, Shaun Damron; step-children: Michael Wayne Pearson and Lisa Renee’ Pearson Reddington.

Funeral Services will be held Saturday, November 3, 2012 at 2:00 p.m. at the Price LDS Stake Center (150 South 500 East – Price, Utah). A viewing will be held Friday, November 2, 2012 from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. at Fausett Mortuary (680 East 100 South – Price, Utah) and on Saturday from 12:30 to 1:30 p.m. prior to the service at the Stake Center. Interment will be in the Price City Cemetery. Services are in the care of Fausett Mortuary. Family and friends may sign the guest book and share memories of Jessie at www.fausettmortuary.com.
