On the afternoon of Saturday, May 25, 2019, Damon Allen Larson, loving husband, father, son and brother passed away at the age of 53. Damon had been in and out of the hospital the last three years as he battled with sepsis infection that ultimately consumed his body and was the cause of his death. He was born May 3, 1966 in Idaho Falls Idaho to Norm and Carole Larson. Damon was born first and was followed up with his twin brother Darren. Together they made one heck of a dynamic duo doing both good and bad. Damon was born under challenging circumstances. He was born without ears and could not hear. At a young age his parents were determined for this not to be a disability and had Damon fitted for various hearing aids many times throughout his life based on the latest technology available. This circumstance in no way prevented Damon from being a normal child and getting the most out of life. In fact, it was a common subject for a lot of laughter with friends and family. He was the second child born into the Larson family and was one of seven children.

Damon spent his adolescence years living in Sandy Utah and graduated from Alta High School, then served a faithful mission to Hermosillo Mexico for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, learning the Spanish language. Upon his return he attended the University of Utah.
Damon had a big heart that had room for everyone. He was selfless beyond measure and put everyone first before himself. Damon could never say no to someone needing service, regardless of his financial capacity, and mental and physical capability.
There are many things Damon loved in life like watching movies with his wife and kids, the Denver Broncos, BYU football, caramel popcorn, cooking, boating, sports, and camping with family. But there was no doubt his wife Kimmie, his angel on earth, his children Brooklyn and Ryan, and his family are what he loved most. He loved and cherished them as much as any husband, father, son, and brother could.
Because of life’s challenges that Damon faced, he had unwavering faith and a special relationship with our Savior Jesus Christ. We are confident he was welcomed and received into his heavenly home with joy and happiness. It is only fitting that he passes to the next life first, and begin preparations for the rest of us, as that is who he is and what his life was spent doing. He truly got lost in service to others.
Damon is loved and will be missed on this earth by his wife Kimmie, children Brooklyn and Ryan, his 2 dogs Gus and Prince, parents Norman and Carole Larson; six siblings; Todd and Tracy Larson, Darren and Sharen Larson, Kevin and Kim Kehl, Darrick and Kendra Larson, Steve and Heather Gagon, Wes and Mandy Durr, In Laws; Van and Jane Harris, Todd and Denisha Harris, Matt and Melissa Harris, Shane and Melanie Hatt, Jeff and Jenny Horne, and many other nieces and nephews that love and cherished their Uncle Damon. We are grateful for our Savior’s Atonement and Resurrection and know we will see him again.
